Two Montgomery County Tidbits…

We mentioned briefly yesterday that fired former Montgomery County Schools superintendent Joshua Powell was in the midst of a deposition. For some reason, the man is still fighting his case against the district and that means he agreed to be deposed by the board.

But here’s the kicker: it started at 9:30 A.M. and lasted until 6:30 P.M. No breaking for lunch. So you don’t have to count this out on your fingers like we did: that’s roughly 9 hours, minus any restroom visits.

Nine hours of transcripts and video.

Remember that most epic (not an understatement) order of recusal Judge Beth Maze issued in Powell’s suit? And how Powell melted down over it? And ultimately filed a complaint against Judge Maze?

Judicial Conduct Commission folks, among others, tell us that complaint has been dismissed.
