If you missed it yesterday, the Herald-Leader did a story about the audit confirming Montgomery County Schools superintendent Joshua Powell illegally hired his wife, Anna.
This was the best part of the story:
On Tuesday, Joshua Powell said he was working on a response to Edelen’s letter.
“I anticipated something like this,” Powell said. “It’s ridiculous.”
The only ridiculous part of it all is that – after the Auditor of Public Accounts said in an official government report that he illegally hired his wife – he’s still attempting to blame everyone else.
Like the Auditor’s spokeswoman says:
Stephenie Hoelscher, a spokeswoman for Edelen’s office, said Tuesday that the letter speaks for itself.
That it does.
