You know me. I’m still waiting for Gray’s “It Gets Better” video. What an opportunity!

Oh, come on! Gray doesn’t want to marry: don’t you know what a hassle it is to divorce when you have property of some kind?

I can’t fault him there.
But my bigger issue is with Greg Fischer – who went out of his way to con the gays into voting him. (Gray didn’t focus on any particular subset – he focused on everyone)

You’re right there – during Gray’s campaign there was not a squeak from either side that he was gay or would make sexual minorities lives any easier.

Mayors can’t do squat about any kind of marriage so why get in front of something which riles up opposition? Fischer fulfilled his promise on partner benefits.

Uh, that’s not the only thing Greg Fischer promised.
And, yes, mayors can do quite a bit about any kind of marriage by simply opening their mouths.
