If this “Kentucky Alliance for Jobs” gambling push by the Chamber and the horse industry were really about caring for Kentucky, its people and its economy…

Why wouldn’t they use a Kentucky business to handle the public relations campaign and to produce the website?

You can’t tell us the Chamber of Commerce and those dozens of other businesses don’t have access to Kentuckians to do this sort of work.
We support gambling here. So much so that we believe it should be open to more than just the horse industry.
But.
Actions speak louder than words.
It’s almost as bad as the catholics feigning offense at gambling while raking in millions from bingo, poker tournaments, raffles and casino-style festivals. Yes, we’re talking about you, Catholic Conference of Kentucky.
“We strongly OPPOSE this proposal because Kentucky should not tie itself to an unreliable, regressive revenue stream and because professional gambling will have a profoundly harmful effect on many of those persons we serve who live in poverty,” said a letter signed by Rev. Patrick Delahanty, executive director of the Catholic Conference.
Head-desk.

Good comments and questions! I would add one more. Since when do middle school children vote?
Really you are using kids in an add supporting gambling?

What’s with the text banners plastered across people’s faces? It’s distracting.
