It’s a perfect illustration of why fair, equal and comprehensive tax reform is necessary both in Kentucky and nationally.

    As I said before, ‘preferential rates’ are inherently unfair…and to base such rates on the highly subjective common good or ‘societal benefit’.
    Who gets to determine what the societal benefit or common good is ?
    Special tax treatment based on something so subjective as ‘societal benefit’ or the common good, will cause every provider of goods and services in the nation to make donations to those in charge of determining the ‘societal benefit’, seeking a favorable (subjective) interpretation of their ‘societal benefit’.
