Holding a groundbreaking?
Gotta make sure you’re also holding a fundraiser:

That’s how it works in state government. Don’t go anywhere if you can’t hold a fundraiser.
Of interesting note: The chair of the board (Billy Joe Miles) and administration officials (Steve Johnson and Dr. Don Neal) from Owensboro Medical Health Systems are listed on the invitation. From what we can tell, they haven’t yet signed a contract for the new privatized Medicaid program. It’ll be a great time to further discuss those cost savings, won’t it? Heh.
The event is also being held at “The Home of Andrea Moore.” A quick check of property valuation records in Daviess County reveals that the home is owned by James Wethington, Moore’s husband. While Moore is a physician, Wethington is a Circuit Court Judge. Wasn’t there some, ahem, trouble surrounding another judge or two and their political activity recently? Funny how that works.

This is in Rep. Jim Glenn’s backyard. Wonder why he’s not part of this special occasion?

I remember a few issues when Ernie Fletcher attended official state events (like groundbreakings, which were usually published on his official weekly calendar) and then went to political events afterwards. Will the media apply the same scrutiny to Beshear’s travels as they did to Fletcher’s? Of course not.

It’s a bad sign for David Williams as our Owensboro Hospital Republican caucus throws a fundraiser for Breshear. Check out our blatant executive level non-profit Hospital Bd member nepotizm right on the invitations. Steve Johnson, Hosp.Vice President of goverment and community relations is son of Bd member Ann Murphy Kincheloe. Allowing for this nepotizm, makes it easier for Bd. chairman Billy Joe Miles to manage Hosp. Bd. biddness.

Uh, how is it a bad sign when we’ve known since, oh, 2010 that Beshear would win re-election?
It’s just a sign that Beshear is bought and paid for.

No Fords? Do they not support Beshear?
