Let’s just dig in to the highlights…

Gubernatorial Race

  • Steve Beshear 55
  • David Williams 28
  • Gatewood Galbraith 10
  • Undecided 8

Treasurer

  • Todd Hollenbach 43
  • KC Crosbie 28
  • Ken Moellman 16
  • Undecided 14

Attorney General

  • Jack Conway 47
  • Todd P’Pool 36
  • Undecided 18

Secretary of State

  • Alison Lundergan Grimes 38
  • Bill Johnson 35
  • Undecided 26

Auditor of Public Accounts

  • Adam Edelen 34
  • John Kemper 31
  • Undecided 35

Commissioner of Agriculture

  • Jamie Comer 37
  • Bob Farmer 36
  • Undecided 27

The big shockers:

  • Jack Conway really could lose his race to Todd P’Pool if P’Pool kicks things into high gear/starts to reach out to common sense Democrats
  • Alison Grimes is performing much more poorly than anyone imagined and she needs to stop beating around the bush
  • Adam Edelen won’t get beat by Kemper but it’s got to frighten him that a guy in the middle of bankruptcy with a history of financial shenanigans is so close
  • Jamie Comer could have been light years ahead had he not turned teabagger

A big question is whether the pollster gave party ID of the candidates in the question? Both slates probably have lower than normal name Id at this point in the cycle so that could be skewing results and would help explain why “bill Johnson” is performing so well despite having a very uphill race, and funny sounding “Todd P’Pool” is really struggling in the poll despite dominating in fundraising and on the campaign trail.

Yeah that Grimes poll is what is keeping KDP from posting the results on the I-64 sign.

Low name ID could also be what is keeping “Jamie Comer” and “Bob Farmer”, 2 ordinary sounding names, in a tie.
