Jack Conway clearly doesn’t want to win this race and he’s putting next to no effort into it.
Here’s his latest email blast:
Supporter:
Our campaign has great momentum. We are leading in the polls and we have the Republicans scrambling. Now I need your help to finish them off.
This week, my opponent went up on tv. He’s trying make this a real race and we can’t let that happen. So, I need your help.
Please consider donating $10 to our campaign TODAY!
Early support is crucial and I will be sure to email you a preview of our first ad when we have it ready to launch.

You see that? His campaign has “great momentum” because he’s up three or four points on Todd P’Pool, a relatively unknown guy, thanks to his name ID. Great momentum, indeed, as no one in the state has seen him in months. His fellow constitutional office candidates often call to ask me where the eff he is. Wholly absent, of course.
Jack doesn’t care about this race. If he did, it wouldn’t have taken Steve Beshear to talk him into running for re-election. If he did, he’d be out campaigning. If he did, he’d have a campaign staff that wasn’t absolutely disconnected from the realities in Kentucky. If he did, he wouldn’t be getting into arguments with his family at Fancy Farm and driving off in a huff. If he did, he wouldn’t have an angry, bitter rage on his face when he sees me. If he did, prominent Democrats wouldn’t be okay with not helping him this election cycle.
It’s a real shame Jack turned into a bitter, vengeful, hateful guy as he got his ass handed to him by Rand Paul. It’s a shame he’s allowed his people to behave in the same manner. It’s a real shame we’re in this spot as 2010 seemingly repeats itself for Jack.
Prediction: The next few months will be like every other race Jack has run. He’ll push several (Mark Riddle) attack ads against P’Pool. When one doesn’t stick, he’ll try another. He’ll flood the airwaves with media the final few weeks and he’ll try like hell never to shake a hand or encounter a commoner. He’ll then win by a hair or get his ass handed to him. Either way, following election day, he’ll edge back into having folks attack, defame, belittle and humiliate anyone who has ever questioned him – just like the Beshear crew.
It’s been really difficult watching this guy go from what we thought was honest and terrific to being a standard good old boy who worked hard to deceive us and sell us a bill of goods. Highly disappointing on a personal level.
Guess Frankfort really is bad for everybody in the same way.
P.S. The only person scrambling is Jack Conway. Not even embarrassing teabaggers Bill Johnson and John Kemper are so ill-prepared to run a campaign this year.

Jack Conway had the biggest chance to reinvent himself after the senate race loss. He could have been that man who restored integrity and ethics to the Commonwealth. But you know, you keep Greg Stumbo’s leftovers in the investigative department, you fail to address some great injustices that everyone knows of, you stick your head in the sand . . . . He lost that opportunity. Could of, would of, should of . . . .

Conway ought to go halfsies with one J. Miller and they should rename that site “Recovering Politicians.”

Conway was an arrogant, condescending jerk to me way back in 2007 before he even won his AG campaign. It’s just his true colors showing through these days.
