There’s Really Just No Hope For Kentucky In 2011

Today’s the 100th day – in a row – that Jack Conway has refused to deal with his brother’s drug scandal, which he is now embroiled in. You’ll want to read all about it and watch the video. Then ask yourself why Kentucky can’t have nice things. [Page One]

Jack Conway may be the most corrupt Attorney General (man, how far this formerly terrific politician has fallen) Kentucky has had in a long time. But Todd P’Pool is the most fearmongering, lost candidate the Commonwealth has seen in a while. Here’s what he had to say in a press release today: “I am encouraged to see that the 11th Circuit ruled to uphold liberty and protect the general police powers reserved to the states by ruling Obamacare unconstitutional,” said P’Pool. “Jack Conway believes that Obamacare is irrelevant to his job as Attorney General. When I’m Attorney General, the Constitution will be relevant to this job.” [Press Release]

Speaking of Jack… his campaign manager (translation: the person who makes a little bit of dough to do nothing), Melissa Wideman, proclaimed “[v]ictory!” for Conway at Fancy Farm. We’re not entirely sure what planet she’s from. [Email Blast]

The state Personnel Board decided to delay its decision on expanding an investigation into Richie Farmer’s department. It also says it doesn’t have jurisdiction to dig into allegations of Reeechie using a state employee to run personal errands (which happens with EVERY constitutional officer – including the Democrats). The person who didn’t get the job in Agriculture filed an appeal of that specific personnel decision. That is what Larry Gillis should have done instead of abusing his authority as a member of the Personnel Board to instigate an investigation for personal reasons.
