UPDATE: Jack’s office is apparently anxious (?) and called to inform me that his interview took place at the end of the random audit presser. Original story continues below.
People need to calm down and quit proclaiming that we’re fabricating information about Jack Conway.
You wanna know why we’re skeptical of what Jack had to say at his hastily thrown together presser/interview?
Here’s why. From Matt Conway’s statement to the po-leece on March 9, 2010:
Well, I got a call last…I guess it was last Wednesday night from my brother. He was coming back from Washington; he had been at the Attorney General’s conference there. And said, “Matt, I need to talk to you. Uh, something’s come up. It’s a sensitive situation, uh, we need to meet and talk.” And I said, “What’s the matter?” And he said “Oh, nothing, there was just a friend called me and overheard a conversation at uh,” and he said, “It’s no big deal, don’t worry about it, we just need to talk about it.” So I went out and met with him and Bar(?) on Thursday af…last Thursday afternoon out at, out at Jack’s house, and that’s when Jack informed me of uh, this dinner at Jeff Ruby’s, with several people, including Charles Alexander, whom I’ve never met. I, I just heard the name before… I know he’s a friend of my brother’s. And I heard that there were several officers and what-not there, and it was a birthday party, but I don’t know for whom.
End scene.
Actually, skeptical doesn’t even begin to describe it. Unless Jack is suggesting that his “Roger Clinton brother” is lying.

I remember when Jack Conway told Chris Matthews less than a year ago that all pot smokers should be arrested and sent to jail, “because it’s illegal.”
But when it’s little brother? Hold the phone.

Jack needs to come clean about his involvement with his brother’s investigation, why he is covering for Hollenbach and what he knows about the KRS/KTRS mess. It’s clear until he does so, we all may all be saying AG PP. Thanks Jack! There was a much better Dem candidate willing to run but you can’t keep your ego in check and move aside. Maybe all these skeletons will drag you to the sideline.

I will not go away and will not shut up and Jack should take note. The nasty comments folks are attempting to leave aren’t going to cut it. They’re ridiculous.
I put my money where my mouth is. Will continue doing so.
He doesn’t want to talk about this and that’s reason enough to talk about it as Attorney General running for re-election. If it’s no big deal, he’d REALLY address it and explain it all away. But you won’t ever see him doing that.
Can’t wait til I’m 40 or 50 and have the patience to write a book.

Mr. Conway should extend to his brother no less privilege than he gives his friends in Louisville, when they’re in harm’s way.
Specifically, what were the results of the investigation into allegations that Greg Fischer made employment promises to gain an endorsement for his election? Let me guess:
“Uh, something’s come up. It’s a sensitive situation, uh…”

Uh, Kiely Hines & Associates?
What sort of straws are you grasping at now, Jinx?
