Food stamp (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) usage peaked in January after a slight decrease in December. It was a jump by more than 7,900:

The annual unemployment rate, however, dropped to 10.5% from 10.7% in 2009.
No mention of how many people fell from the unemployment rolls.
