I’m not going to shut up about this. There’s no reason for wasteful legislation to stop meth production. Limiting access to legitimate consumers is ridiculous. Send a letter to your legislator today. [SEND A LETTER!]

Teabagger king Rand Paul gave his first floor speech in the senate today in our honor. The Paulbots can’t stop wetting themselves over it. We were busy accomplishing things with lasting impact on this very important day of the Groundhog. So you’ll have to read about it elsewhere. [Dave Weigel]

Better yet, go watch Rand Paul’s speech. It’s rather interesting. [C-SPAN or YouTube]

Louisville’s Jennifer Lawrence made Vanity Fair’s Hollywood cover. This is kind of a big dang deal. [HuffPo]

Somebody needs to alert Germantown-Schnitzelburg that these people should not be trusted with money under any circumstances. You don’t let people convicted of campaign finance fraud count your pennies, kids, got it? [Facebook]

Jonathan Miller is becoming a blogger. He says his website will launch on April 1 and will be called “The Recovering Politician.” He also says, “In just a few days, a new entry to the blogosphere will revolutionize the way Americans think about politics. OK, perhaps that’s a bit strong; please remember I am a recovering politician.” Bets on how long it takes him to give up after people start giving him crap? [Click the Clicky]

A State Senate panel has approved a bill to allow independents to vote in primary elections. Unfortunately, we know it’s going to die and go nowhere fast. Thanks to Jimmy Higdon for supporting this legislation. [Bluegrass Politics]

Congressman John Yarmuth was spotted sporting a fancy new look as he delivered a check to a Louisville-area fire department. [The 'Ville Voice]

The GOP’s budget plans are a complete farce. Completely and utterly senseless. [The Economist]

Happy Birthday, and as per a prior post, thank you for covering every single piece of news of any possible interest or relevance within the known universe. You and your clones must be very busy, and we appreciate your efforts. If you don’t have clones, I can loan you one of mine, but judging from the pile of paperwork I have, I doubt they are very useful.

    “The Recovering Politician,” eh?

He might want to blog about being a ‘former’ politician.

Not only is his new blog password protected (after promoting it on his website?), its security program is British, not American. I’m sure there are domestic companies that can provide the level of security he needs for a blog that will continue to promote, well, Jonathan Miller.

Is he looking for a rather select readership through intense MI6 security?
