I’m not sure why you fain outrage over the hiring of Jane Driskell. The articles you link are really non-events.
Yeah, she retired because it was in her financial interest, then she took another job because it was in her financial interest, which makes her…logical?
Then she didn’t attend a meeting about library taxes after the city’s library directer canceled his appearance, which makes her…practical?
And finally she accepted paid vacation days after originally not being awarded vacation days, which makes her… human?
You even stated she is well liked by many on both sides of the political spectrum.
So, please explain why Gray is taking a risk by hiring a logical, practical and well-liked person with decades of municipal budget experience to oversee a municipal budget.

It’s feign, not fain.
And it’s not feigned outrage. I’m also not the only person who thinks this is a big damn deal.
You’d have to be blind, deaf and dumb not to remember the tens of thousands she got in her Jerry deal. And you’d have to be corrupt as hell to ignore the Metro Government audit.
Save the anonymous concern trolling, folks.

Doesn’t sound like Jodie Richards miscounted too bad- a 1-vote margin is not a serious miscalculation when dealing with legislators who would never tell you anything but the truth(!?!) I have a feeling that a split in the Louisville delegation probably cast the die on this leadership race. Some who would have not normally supported Rep. Clark in the past probably realized that Louisville would take a major hit if they were left without a rep. in leadership. I think the west Kentucky delegation found that out last time and obviously made a correction this time with the removal of Rep. Stacy. What happened to the rumored race between Rep. Damron and Rep. Overly? Was this just a rumor or could she just not get the votes? Inquiring minds are wondering………..

Not a serious miscalculation?
This is the second time it happened.
And he was telling folks he had more votes than he needed.
I’d say that’s a serious miscalculation. But I do feel a bit vindicated, admittedly, because I didn’t him or his people this go round.
