TGIF! Election Week Hell Is Finally Almost Over

November 5th, 2010 · 7 Comments

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann gave $2,400 to Jack Conway’s U.S. Senate campaign. A far cry from the million bucks Fox gave to the Republican Party. [Politico]

Candy Barr just can’t believe people would vote for a hack instead of a teabagger. He’s seeking a re-canvass. [John Cheves]

Rand Paul is figgna be on ABC’s ‘This Week’ program with Christiane Amanpour this Sunday. [ABC News]

If you’re a hit and run victim in Kentucky, there’s no help for you. [WAVE3]

Aqua Buddha has reared his head in a… different form. Bumper stickers and such. [Click the Clicky]

Philip Bailey tweeted this last night because he hates America. So. Why do American voters think like small children? [New York Magazine]

John Yarmuth says Nancy Pelosi should step down so Steny Hoyer can take over. Don’t think there are too many Democrats who could disagree with that. [WHAS11]

Remember Ben Chandler’s health care vote? It’s still stupid. He knows it. That’s why he’s wearing an adult undergarment until this re-canvass is completed. He’s terrified. [B&P]

Conspiracy theorist racist lying hypocrite of a teabagger who allegedly hit her head one too many times has a new doozy! She says Steve Beshear held a super-secret meeting to bust up the teabaggers with police force. [Stupidity Should Burn Like An STD]

Mitch McConnell is pretend easing his talk of a thaw. It’s only temporary. Don’t worry. [WaPo]

Dear Associated Press stenographers and WYMT: Heather French Henry was never Kentucky’s first lady. She did/does, however, operate a fake veterans organization that was part of Steve Henry’s corruption scheme. It’s public record. [WYMT]

Melvin Henley might have the worst case of assholeitis in Kentucky right now. Get a load of how he attacked his opponent. [The News]

Apparently, the most important issue facing Kentucky is whether or not mayor-elect Jim Gray will repay his campaign debt. If Jack Conway and Daniel Mongiardo can do it, why can’t he? I know they’re not mayor-elect and both lost elections, but what gives? Is the Herald-Leader really waltzing into Gannett territory? [H-L]

This is an outrage. I will never watch K.O. again. I never knew he was partisan and/or against Rand Paul. I just thought he was a commentator on a news channel. Now we know he’s a partisan commentator with this donation, I am just dismayed. This breaks every rule for partisan commentators.

This is like candidates complaining about corporate money from out of sate and then having Gannett and McClatchy Company work basically pro bono for you.

Where’s your outrage for the million bucks Fox News gave the Republican Party?

I’d call your concern severely feigned.

    “Blue Dogs Go Hungry”

So, the column in “Barefoot & Progressive” assures us that, in private, Chandler is a “closet Socialist.” Nice to know that he is even more hypocritical and gutless than I expected. Many Blue Dogs went by the wayside in this election. If sleepy Ben runs in 2012, he stands a good chance of losing (as he almost did Tuesday) unless he ditches his Blue stripes and publicly becomes a real Democrat, preferably standing for SOMETHING.

    Jake
This election week is indeed over and I want to personally thank you for your reporting on this
election cycle. Your blog provides more correct insight than all the Ky Newspapers combined.
    Thanks again

a bulk of the presidential candidates for the GOP in 2012 already are Fox News employees…

    Jake… I was joking.

    See this blog: http://www.freemaninky.com/2010/11/keith-olbermann-violates-nbc.html

I do not oppose media being partisan as long it’s the editorial board or commentators.

K.O. as a private citizen should be able to give to any political cause or candidate he so chooses. If he violated internal NBC policy then he knew or should have known of the consequences before making the donations. On a personal note, I cannot stand his politics or his personality. I would like to know more about the alleged NewsCorp donations before passing any judgment.
