The real underemployment figure is 22.5%. So chew on that and try not to throw up. Especially if you’re an incumbent trying to run for re-election. [Consumerist]

Last night we released Daniel Solzman’s latest epic video. Completely amazing in every way. [WATCH IT IMMEDIATELY]

Jack Conway and the DSCC claim he’s leading Rand Paul by two points. Do you buy it? [WaPo]

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is receiving Sweden’s Insignia of First Command, Order of the Polar Star. Because she actually works to promote clean energy. When will something like this happen in Kentucky? Not while Governor Steve Beshear is suing the EPA. [CNBC]

In case you missed it, here’s John Yarmuth on MSNBC taking an actual Democratic stance on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. [B&P]

Take a read/listen to this story about Erika Webb, the 2011 Kentucky Teacher of the Year. Webb’s a high school English teacher from Jessamine County. [Tony McVeigh]

WHAS11 pulled the NRSC ad claiming that Jack Conway supported cap and trade, claiming it was inaccurate. Unfortunately, WHAS is in the wrong here. As we have written on dozens of occasions, Jack was a supporter before he decided not to be. [TPM]

Because he hasn’t pretended to be right-wing enough, Jack Conway is now considering joining a lawsuit against the EPA. It’s a far cry from the days when his staff were expressing frustration about how Jack had to “shift” his views on coal, MTR and the environment in order to beat Daniel Mongiardo and sway over the electorate in Kentucky. If he joins the lawsuit, it’s politically motivated, and that’s a shame. [Bluegrass Politics]

President Barack Nobama canceled a visit to a shrine over there in Indier because he didn’t want to put on a Muslin costume and scare meemaw on her Rascal. So, did Papaw Steve Beshear go to that shrine in Indier? Did he put on that fancy outfit? Is he a secret Muslin, too? [Wonkette]

Lt. Dan Choi re-enlisted in the Army yesterday. And Todd Lally is probably crying all over Louisville because the gays get to be scary and gay in the military again. [The New Civil Rights Movement]

Yeah, WHAS is a real liberal radio station that has Democrats backs is why they pulled the NRCC ad. WHAS has Limbaugh, Connell and the crazy guy at night that hates everyone.
They are real secret Democrats there.

Congrats to Lt. Choi! Very glad to see this ridiculous policy close to being on the ashheap of history, where it belongs.

Hats off to Lt. Dan Choi. Too many brave men and women have been discriminated against because of who they choose to love. One of those barriers has dropped because of him and people like him.
