In case you missed it earlier, here’s the latest Todd Lally scandal in Kentucky’s 3rd Congressional District race against John Yarmuth. Lally’s brother allegedly assaulted a Yarmuth campaign supporter while campaigning on his (Lally’s) behalf. He’s now in jail and there are some pretty serious charges being leveled. [The 'Ville Voice]
The University of Kentucky won’t allow its own student newspaper to be distributed at Commonwealth Stadium during UK games. Why? Because a sports marketing firm thinks it has the legal right to prohibit free speech. This isn’t some private business on private property telling folks to shut it with political speech. This is a state university telling its own student body that they cannot distribute their free student newspaper. $80 million trumps a state school’s own students, it seems. [Kentucky Kernel]
Jack Conway is apparently fired up about Rand Paul’s statements. Must be because that gross Crossroads GPS is factual and damaging. [Glasgow Daily Times]
A level 2 drought was declared in 50 of Kentucky’s 120 counties today. [Press Release]
The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government council races have a whole bunch of campaign finance numbers going on. [B&P]
Woah, the entire world has frozen over. The Herald-Leader has endorsed Stan Lee. Only because his opponent is a complete embarrassment. [H-L]
Ben Chandler is fighting to retain his seat in the United States House of Representatives. Will he, as a Republi… Democrat, be able to defeat the teabagger Andy Barr? Or will ole gurl just roll on with effort to ignore his constituency? [Ronnie Ellis]
Have you seen the trailer for Sarah The Quitter Palin’s new reality television program? [USA Today]
October is Sheep and Goat Month. It’s true. I read it in a release from the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy. We actually have a Sheep & Goat Development Office. [Seriously]
Like Joe said, Rand Paul is protecting us all from Susie having two mommies. Big, tough lesbians are the worst and they are here to ruin your lives. DON’T LET THOSE LESBIAN LADIES AROUND YOUR KIDS! [Think Progress & WonkRoom]

So Quarels charges are reduced to carless driving and the story comes out about what happened (he actually approached cops to ask where the exit to a parking lot was and they thought they could get him for dui, problem was he was below the legal limit). yet you put nothing on the blog about it? Come on man. You busted the guys balls (I have no idea who he is and wouldn’t vote for the tea bagger) but you can’t bash him and then run when the facts come out…

Stan Lee is one of the Top 5 biggest turds I’ve met in my life and that’s the nicest thing I can say…

Stan lee’s mustache should be bronzed but his brain should be destroyed. The guy is THE weirdest person in frankfort and he’s the “wrongest” (not a word) too.

Uh, the Quarles story hit after I put this round-up together at 3.
Also, see that bit about showing signs of intoxication?
So much for me being wrong about that, right?

RyeHill: perspective please?
How many turds in total have you met in your life? Context is everything in polling!
:)

I’m not even going to click on the Kentucky Kernel link because it might make me hate what I’m about to say… but provided they aren’t passing out something that’s got terroristic threats on it or something else equally harmful, they have the right to distribute the material.

To the commenter “Who cares”….I tend to think that Jake would be happy to make the note if it came to his attention and he didn’t have a thousand other things to write about. I think the appropriate thing would have been to make the suggestion without accusing him of ill intent. I don’t know how he keeps so much information flowing here, honestly.

And….though I’m still supporting Quarles, the fact that he had been drinking is arguably relevant.

Haven’t met that many turds. It’s hard to be a turd in my book, but Stan Stache checks all the boxes.
I once saw him act like a jackass and pontificate family values to a bunch of teenagers on a Capitol tour.

.067 is about 3.5 drinks is 3 hours. If he showed signs of being drunk with .067 bac then I will be named pope tomorrow. If quarrels is a democrat you are alleging police brutality. Again, I wouldn’t vote for him but I smell an overzealous cop.

Huh? Since when have I been biased toward the Democrats? That’s crazy talk.
And I just had 5 beers over a 7-hour period – along with a bunch of water and a large meal – and am barely fit to walk down the side walk, let along think about even riding in a car.

Ditto “crazy talk”.

Jake must of been at the same elementary school fall festival as me.
What?!?

I, on the other hand, have met Stan Lee on a number of occasions and he could not have been nicer.
15 jake // Oct 16, 2010 at 8:17 pm
Stan Lee supports killing babies in the womb.

Of course you have wondering. Turd’s usually get along well with each other..
