Jack Conway is lying again about his support of the Bush tax cuts.
From Jack Brammer:
The national GOP ad notes that Conway said in an August interview with CN/2 Politics tax cuts enacted in former President George W. Bush’s administration “ought to be extended for some period of time.”
But the ad cites Conway’s interview with The Courier-Journal editorial board last April in which he said he would favor letting expire probably the majority of the Bush tax cuts.
-SNIP-
The Conway campaign has said Conway was in favor of the Bush tax cuts when they passed and wants to extend them now.
Unfortunately, as you can see in the ad, Jack was against the Bush tax cuts before he was for them. And on several occasions during meetings with me, Jack has decried the Bush tax cuts.
Since I’m tired of the Conway campaign’s attempts to malign my character – I feel compelled to reveal that most of the time those meetings involved two employees (and occasionally Mark Riddle), from Jack’s state office. Though, they went out of their way not to drive state cars. And one – he knows who he is – of them (sorry, you should’ve stopped this bullshiz with people attacking me months ago) is the guy who originally told me some months ago that Jack needed to adjust and change his position on cap & trade and mountaintop removal. He did not tell me that off-the-record or confidentially. I’d be happy to take a polygraph about this if someone wants to pay for it. And am obviously willing to reveal their identities if there’s every an investigation.
When does this crap end? When do the Conway folks stop lying, spinning and attacking people who dare address the facts and reality?
This is why people like me rip their Conway bumper stickers off and decide not to vote in the U.S. Senate race.
