It’s cute watching Rand Paul run from workers at a Dairy Queen, isn’t it?

You’d think a man running for the United States Senate would give two flips about what voters think.

By workers I take it you mean three union officials with cameras?

Officials?
They were union workers.
And what does that change? If you’re running for U.S. Senate, you don’t tuck tail and run like Mitch.

Because we all know if someone walked up to Conway with a camera and started asking questions designed for political points; he’d be real chatty…right?
Filming just about anyone when they don’t want or expect it is going to make them nervous, uncomfortable and probably even sweaty. At least, it does to me and I ain’t running for anything. Just once I’d like someone to shove a camera in each of these union thugs’ faces and see how they like it.

Of course he would. And he’s done so when my staffers have done the same thing, asking biased and difficult questions (he had no idea they were affiliated with me).
Even teabagger Andy Barr talks to folks in situations like that.
When you’re running for mega office, you don’t haul ass away. Especially this late in the game.
You’d like to see a camera shoved in the face of your pretend “thug” – nice. I’d like to see a teabagger who doesn’t live in meemaw’s basement. (See? Generalizations are fun.)

Correction..Only two of the three identified themselves as union officials.

Unless I missed it, I didn’t actually see Rand Paul in the video, or any footage of anyone attempting to ask him a question and having a door slammed in their face.

I think I heard Rand Paul’s voice inside the Dairy Queen and that looks exactly like the truck he rides around in. I don’t dispute anything these guys are saying happened. He shouldn’t have run away and he shouldn’t have cursed at them, either….but having said that, I think the union guys knew they were voting for Conway long before they ever showed up at the Dairy Queen….so it’s not like they were there to learn.

“Of course he would.”
And where would that be? At Fancy Farm? A political event?
It’s one thing to do this sort of thing at a venue that is meant to be political. If these people are really interested in answers to their questions (and they’re likely not, as Graas said: they’re no-doubt long-time Conway supporters); they could ask Paul at a political event, on his numerous talk radio visits or even simply e-mail Paul’s campaign on Paul’s website at their own leisure.
Instead the union people in this video chose the creepy, weird stalker route of hanging out in front of a fast food restaurant. A place that is really appropriate for this kind of thing, right?

You do realize the DQ stop was a – gasp – political event, right? David L. Williams was even there campaigning for him.
You Paulbots can continue to act like it’s unfair for a candidate for the United States Senate to have to answer questions – sometimes on camera! – but that’s tired and too little, too late. We’re a month away from the election.
If Rand Paul can’t handle those SCARY/FEAR/OMG/THUG union guys, then he can’t handle the average Kentuckian.

Didn’t the Paul camp accuse the Grayson camp of doing this?
The truth is, most all candidates send operatives to observe their opponents at campaign events. During Fletcher’s ’03 re-election campaign, he actually took to introducing the Beshear operative (a young lady named Jessica) at his public appearances.

I am a voter who has seen Rand Paul in public. He never once got off of his cell phone and he was very rude when he paraded through the crowd not even acknowledging people. He also does not know when to say “excuse me.” The Texan, ill-mannered snob will never get my vote.
