This is what happens when the Kentucky Democratic Party is non-existent:
You get “Democratic” congressional nominees like Charles Hatchett that to run against Floridian Ed Whitfield.
And you wonder why there’s such an overwhelming bout of ignorance sweeping this state.
Seriously – you should watch the entire clip. Hatchett discusses his encounter with a Jordanian “Muslim” – because all the Muslims own gas stations. And then his bit about nanotechnology.

The reason that the KDP has been unable for so long to find anyone in WKY to unseat Ed Whitfield is not that there are no competent, electable candidates anywhere to be found in the Purchase. The reason is that the position of Democratic candidate for KY’s 1st Congressional District is reserved in perpetuity for a certain young lady from Lone Oak, KY. Unfortunately, she can’t seem to scramble up enough competent experience in a relevant job to be electable. Bank on it, Jennifer Moore will be the next candidate for Congress, and until then we are stuck with nonsense candidates like this guy.
