President Obama Approves Disaster Declaration

President Barack Obama just approved the disaster declaration requested by Governor Steve Beshear for flooding in Pike County.

“Many Kentucky families were hit hard by the devastation caused by this storm,” said Gov. Beshear. “I am grateful for the granting of this critical request, and appreciate the swiftness of the White House’s response.”

    Well once again that black man in the White House is helping Kentucky — bet that drives down his poll numbers here.

    Now if the Governor and Legislative leaders would just give President Obama some credit for the $2 BILLION dollar stimulus that the Commonwealth received to BALANCE Kentucky’s budget for this Biennium that would be nice. Teachers not layed off, KSP not layed off and other essential services not cut because of Obama and the Federal government, but we cannot seem to mention his name, wonder why? And oh yes, what ARE we gonna do next biennium when there is no stimulus from that muslim socialist black man?

    I wonder why the Governor hasn’t mentioned the $2.2 million announced for the Healthy Kentucky Foundation from the feds new Social Innovation Fund? Awards came out July 22.

    I guess I missed the part of the sales pitch for a nearly trillion dollar “stimulus” bill being that the federal government would pay for public employees all over the country. What I remember is shovel ready jobs and a guarantee that un-employment would not exceed 8 per cent. So much for the new federalism.
