What’s that sound? Why, it’s just Jack Conway skipping Mandy Connell’s radio show!
She says his staff doesn’t return calls. Imagine that.
The back story? His staff has been ignoring her calls for two weeks. All this after he agreed to appear on the show this week.
If Jack can’t handle Mandy, how can he handle the U.S. Senate?
And, really, staffers? Not returning calls? It’s understandable that they’re passive-aggressive with me because I tell the truth about them. It’s even understandable that they’d ignore calls from MSNBC and make up excuses for not appearing on ABC. But come on.
I’m completely embarrassed on a personal and professional level for his candidacy. Tired of defending him and giving his staffers chance after chance.
It should be noted that staff – namely Allison Haley – are on the job and capable of returning telephone calls. Because about 45 minutes ago they put out a release discussing these (Warning: External PDF Link) Rand Paul facts.

Oh but Jake, you reported she had been replaced. Ha! Continue the great reporting!

Well, state employee commenting on state time, she has been replaced/layered, as I reported.
I even provided the name of the guy coming in to supervise her.

I have a feeling Conway will do exactly what he did in the primary
1) lay low
2) start campaigning with a month left
3) spend a fortune on TV in the last two weeks
4) win by less than a vote per precint
thoughts? not that i agree, but that sure seems like what he’s doing now…

Mandy will ask tough questions about toll bridges that he will not want to answer

After the elections are over in November, Jack will be highly qualified in writing a story on how to blow an election that was handed to you on a silver platter. There is no way I can vote for Rand Paul, but Conway isn’t winning my vote either.

sadly, ky politics at its best. like them or love them, the republicans are republicans and do what they do to their best ability. the democrats suck and too busy trying to be republicans (if you follow rap music at all talib kweli said this some time ago about dems)…we need a third party alternative – a real one!

I’ve got a third party idea for you — find some Dems to run as Dems! As Howard Dean said when he announced: “I’m here to represent the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party.”
I’m sick and tired of Dems who are just Repub Lite. Less filling, tastes awful.
As Harry S said, “Give people a choice between a Republican and a Republican, and they’ll usually vote Republican.”

Jack Conway’s a real Democrat.
He just needs to stop listening to the dickweed who controls him.
That, or Tom Conway needs to shove his boot up the dickweed’s ass posthaste. After he finishes with Larry Clark, of course.

Can you imagine if this race was between Conway and Grayson? The vacuum created by the lack of personality and energy could have potentially created a greater risk to humanity than the Large Hadron Collider.
It’s amazing that someone as strong a candidate on paper as Conway, has such a difficult time executing it.

It’s not Jack, it’s his idiot adviser(s).
Okay, so it’s Jack’s fault for listening to them or whatever.
Or… lots of people joke about it… maybe Mark Riddle just has something terrible on Jack? Because I can’t think of any other reason on earth for constantly taking that dude’s awful advice.
