Rotary Luncheons are pretty harmless events. It is more community awareness for the membership than cheerleading session. I cannot see how a culturally literate person could be offended by this. No-one ever gets tough questions at Rotary. It has to maintain a vanilla atmosphere to maintain a membership that is diverse in its background.
If Thunderstorm’s numbers are correct, and if the Rotary Club is representative of the area in general, then most likely, the Lincoln County Rotary Club is “mostly Democratic.”She did NOT say that all Rotary Clubs are “overwhelmingly” Democratic. She used the word “mostly,” which means greater than 50%.
Even if she was refering to all Rotary clubs, then given that there are more registered Democrats than there are Republicans, chances are they are “mostly Democratic.”
Or are you saying that Republicans are more likely to join great organizations like the Rotary than Democrats are? That doesn’t speak well to your opinion of the Democratic Party membership.
Also, Mica Sims is NOT “the” leader of the Teabaggers. She may be “a” leading person in the Tea Party movement (because she has a Facebook page that people like you follow, perhaps?), but the movement does not have just one leader.
But hey, at least she used the word “Democratic” instead of “Democrat,” so give her kudos for that!
Larry West, let’s not parse her words. Let’s simply look at the broader intent. Of course, either way, she’s an idiot.

Must be an exclusive organization.
Voter registration data for Lincoln County:
069 LINCOLN
Precincts 17
Democrats 8,929
Republicans 6,915
Wonder if the application to join asks Party affiliation :)
