Apparently the only folks willing to go to the World Equestrian Games are foreigner journalists? Maybe they’re the only folks who can afford to pay $20/day to park. [H-L]

Matt Vanderpool, the gay who will lose to Stan Lee, says he won’t accept cash from the Victory Fund. What the Herald-Leader’s writers don’t tell you is that the head gays don’t want to give him money because he’s taking all of his advice from Jordan Palmer, his “campaign manager.” So now this guy, who will unfortunately lose, has come out (no pun intended) of the woodwork with a lame ass story he’s made up. I hear Daniel Mongiardo met with Steve Beshear today. Allegedly, he’s being shown $60,000 raised by Jack Conway and $10,000 raised by the governor. And as a result of those dollars, he’ll endorse Conway at Fancy Farm. Thoughts on that? [Fancy Rumor Mill]

Perhaps Mongiardo will, at Fancy Farm, paean Jack Conway. Perhaps not. [google it, it's not a bad word - it's just sort of pronounced that way.]

The fact that Conway, in effect, has to buy Mongiardo’s endorsement doesn’t say much for either one of them.

I don’t think Daniel’s “endorsement” helps Jack in the least. Not now.

And to be honest, not too many Democrats believe Jack is going to be able to pull this off.

Jordan Palmer has been a wonderful campain manager. they slammed Vanderpools opponent in the primary. sounds like great advice to me. plus when Palmer was president of Kentucky Equality Federation they alone killed HB 350 and are the only gay organizations that is an advocate for gay people. you always slamming Palmer and the Federation is old and is costing you readers.

Vanderpool is also getting help from Christi Gillespie, so maybe he’s taking her advice too…

I can’t quite figure that one out…i mean she quits the GOP to support independent/3rd party candidates, but Matt is a Democrat running as a Democrat…

Who’s Jordan Palmer and why don’t teh gayz like him?

PB: I’m losing readership because of the facts? HAHAHA.

    Here’s a protip for you mouth-breathes: I don’t care. Stop concern trolling.

Do we REALLY need to rehash Jordan Palmer? Really?

Jake, on behalf of the MWA (Morning Wood Association) we urge that you PLEASE do not re-hash Jordan Palmer without a picture of his lawyer, Jill Hall Rose.

Jake, will all the people that donate $1,000 each to pay for Moingiardo’s debt be listed publically.

I know Conway is not allowed to pay the debt with campaign funds, or was told that, so will the names be listed on SOS website eventually?

  • 9 jake // Jul 20, 2010 at 12:55 pm

    SoS?

They’ll eventually be listed on Daniel’s FEC report.

  • 10 Thunderstorm // Jul 20, 2010 at 1:10 pm

SOS – Secretary of State, forgot about FEC site

  • 11 jake // Jul 20, 2010 at 1:12 pm

Not sure why anything would appear on the SoS… that’s why I was questioning.

@Noah I do not care about party affiliation, I support candidates based on their beliefs and principles, regardless of what letter they may have beside their name. I am currently supporting a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, a Constitution Party candidate and several Libertarian candidates for various offices across the state. While Matt Vanderpool and I disagree on some issues, we agree on a lot as well! He is not running as a typical Democrat, but rather as a “new kind of Democrat”. He opposes Obamacare at the Federal level, and believes in States Rights! He is the true state sovereignty candidate in the 45th district race. His opponent, Stan Lee, actually proposed legislation to give IRS agents Kentucky police powers, and then has the audacity to say “do you want the Federal govt. out of your life?” He can’t have it both ways! I did not advise Matt on this particular issue, but I fully support him not seeking the endorsement of soliciting funds from the Victory Fund! For the record, I left the GOP, because they have abandoned their principles, the same reason I left Rand Paul’s campaign! Matt Vanderpool, and his campaign manager, Jordan Palmer are two of the most principled people I have ever had the pleasure of working with in politics!

I understand Christi. I don’t think the GOP grassroots have abandoned their principles though some of our leadership have. Rand Paul definitely has: anyone with enough sense to lick a postage stamp understands that. But nevertheless that’s been your experience and you should support who you agree with. However, I fail to see what principle that you feel the GOP abandoned, that you now see in this candidate!

I read some about that particular bill which Stan Lee supported, when you read the bill I don’t think there is too much to oppose in there. If folks pay their taxes they have nothing to worry about. Im personally in favor of a flat national sales tax to replace the income tax, and we would still have to have a reformed IRS to collect it, though not directly from the people. However, as long as we have the laws that we do, I don’t see too much problem in efficient & strict enforcement of those laws.

For the record, I am no longer a political consultant on the Matt Vanderpool campaign. I have officially withdrawn my personal endorsement, and I am no longer supporting Matt in this race. I do not support Rep. Stan Lee either.
