Rand Paul Has Flip-Flopped Yet Again

June 30th, 2010 · 5 Comments

This time on farm subsidies.

From Jack Brammer:

Paul’s Democratic opponent in this year’s race, Attorney General Jack Conway, has criticized Paul, especially in Western Kentucky, for opposing farm subsidies.

“The interesting thing is they start out with that being my position and I’m actually much more moderate than that. You know how moderate I am,” Paul said during the one-hour radio interview.

Do I need to remind you what Rand Paul had to say at the KET forum just before the primary election on May 10?

That’s right.

Flip-flops galore.

This guy stands for nothing or is realizing just how damn far out he is and is trying to come back to earth. Either way he is far from rock solid.

Opponents should brings lots and lots of actual flip-flops to his political gatherings, hold them high in the air, and wave continuously.

I’ve actually never seen a political candidate flip-flop as much as Rand Paul. Seriously. It’s like he doesn’t stand for anything in reality. He’ll just act all butch about a range of issues for one audience to get their vote for a nomination, but thinks nothing of ditching them for the general election. Again, never seen anything like it.

So, Jack Conway supports farm subsidies– taking money from the poor (through higher prices) and the middle class (through higher taxes) to give money to corporations and the wealthy. I thought Democrats opposed that sort of thing. What a bizarro world we live in!

For detailed information on farm subsidies, check out the Environmental Working Group’s amazing data set on this: http://farm.ewg.org/. (My favorite people to look up are the Mellencamps and Scottie Pippen.)
