Daniel Mongiardo’s Jumping Over The Edge

June 30th, 2010 · 11 Comments

I know I’ve linked to this story a few times already, but please explain the latest from Ronnie Ellis:

Mongiardo believes there are two Democratic parties in Kentucky — that led by the establishment personified by former Sen. Wendell Ford, state Auditor Crit Luallen, Beshear and others and another one made up of “the little guys” with whom Mongiardo identifies. Conway had the backing of the Democratic elite and big donors, but Mongiardo led most of the way in polling — until Conway pummeled him with negative television ads while Mongiardo’s under funded campaign had to sit on the sidelines, hoarding its cash for the final push. Again, Mongiardo lost narrowly.

What the hell does Lt. Dan think he’s going to accomplish by throwing Crit Luallen under the bus? She’s one of the few respected elected officials in the Commonwealth and is one of the few people in the entire history of the state to, you know, just do her job.

And really? Saying Wendell Ford is “establishment”? Haha. He’s the kind of person who makes racist remarks and is still well-liked by both liberals and conservatives. But establishment because he supported Jack Conway? Hahaha.

Additionally, Lt. Dan needs to put up or shut up. If he’s got the goods on Papaw Beshear, he needs to spill the beans.

I wondered how long it would take Daniel to decided he was ready to leave the scene in Kentucky. Apparently that time is now, as he is finished.

In the meantime poor Jack is dying of second hand smoke exposure from driving around Western Kentucky with Wendell while Wendell explains what being N-Word rich really means. Does Jack know that Mongiardo won Daviess County?

Sounds like Mongardio suffers from little mans disease.

Mongiardo got really pissed when Drobis didn’t hire one of his staffers because he supposedly wasn’t a progressive Dem only b/c he worked for Mongiardo. Never mind the fact that a) Conway and Mongiardo both had the same views on the record about coal, gay marriage, the epa, b) this staffer in question had an impeccable resume, he worked for Terry McAuliffe in VA, and Hillary in KY. among many, many other top Democratic races including the senate race in Alaska c) he was from Henderson and had ties to Fleming Co.. God forbid you bring in someone from outside the triangle to work in a statewide race.

    Drobis isn’t making those decisions.

    It’s all Riddle & Conway.

It shows a serious lack of maturity to blame your losses on the vast conspiracies against you. I don’t often say a nearly 50-year-old man needs to grow up but nothing could be more true than that statement.

Dan, you lost. It sucks for you, but you lost. And it’s not Crit’s fault, not Senator Ford’s fault. YOU made mistakes that got exposed. Live with it. Put on your big boy underwear and move on.

Those of us in Lexington are watching how well another Riddle-run campaign is going. The similarities between the campaigns is uncanny and I hope Jack sees he doesn’t want to end up where Newberry is.

    Jack refuses to see it.

The staffer in question interviewed with Drobis that Riddle set up. Why the snarky assumption by Drobis??

Mongiardo is the perfect example of an insecure, self-centered man, the opposite of a public servant.
Maturity is not a function of age. Many people never grow up.
It’d be better if Dan just left public life. He just doesn’t have what it takes.

Yeah, I’ve been hearing a lot about Conway’s camp being extremely bitter towards Mongiardo staffers. I think there is a need for people to grow up across the board. Certainly there needs to be a unity between the party to beat Randy in the fall, but it doesn’t really appear that olive branches have been extended from either side…

Once again: About the only good thing I can say about Jack Conway’s embarrassing campaign at the moment is that he has extended the olive branch.

Daniel’s playing the whiny ass titty baby here.
