Check this sweet rumor, straight outta Lexington television circles:

Bill Bryant allegedly had a telephone conversation with Andy Barr last Monday inviting him to be on Kentucky Newsmakers. Barr agreed and potential topics for discussion came up. The big deal? Idle Hour Country Club, an establishment known to be notoriously racist. He still agreed to show up for the taping.

Low and behold, Barr called Bryant late Wednesday evening to back out of the deal. The reasoning? He had several fundraisers to attend – during the work day.

It’s almost as if Andy is afraid to talk about being a member of a racist country club.
