Somebody’s got some splainin’ to do.
Bill Hamilton, the guy “fired” from the Kentucky League of Cities yesterday, was actually fired weeks ago. He was, however, allowed to work until August 1 as a sort of severance package. That was all pieced together quietly, as almost no one knew about it. Most of the folks involved with KLC I’ve spoken with were nervous about discussing the matter.
What’s interesting about this situation is that Neal Hackworth publicly “fired” Hamilton yesterday. If he’s already canned by the board, what gives? Something doesn’t pass the smell test.
Is Hamilton still being paid through August?

The 8 employees in legal department have been busy and most of the 10 employees in the accounting department should have lost their jobs. What is the definition of amuck?
