Here he is in the Winter 2009 issue of Philanthropy:

Need more of a refresher? Here:

Now, remember him?

He was named deputy director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s education division within its United States Program. Deasy is no longer featured anywhere on the Gates website, aside from old press releases. And he’s no longer included in the program’s leadership team.

Now you remember.

I hear through the higher education rumor mill that Deasy is in the running to be the Deputy Superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District. And, according to this agenda (Warning: External PDF Link), that position is set to be discussed at a closed meeting on Tuesday. LAUSD won’t confirm whether or not Deasy’s in the running, but an individual I spoke with refused to deny it.

Won’t that be a hot mess if he’s actually selected?

Wow.

    “Student Follows Mentor’s Suspicious Example”

Nice detective work, Jake, on the new Deasy matter. So, his time at the Gates Foundation was rather short-lived. Looks like he is somewhat mirroring the career of his con-man mentor, Robert the Psycho Monster. Stay a brief time, get what you can, and move on to the next gullible institution. Hope the LA school district has better sense than Yale, Illinois, Auburn, Rhode Island, and UofL had when they hired and retained the Little Man from Hell.

Interesting that his terminal degree is not mentioned in the Gates document above when referring to his professional and academic credentials.

PR director: “Dr. Deasy, you didn’t include your doctoral degree at the end of this article. Shouldn’t we include it?”

    Sleazy: “It’s fine.”
