Tuesday’s Got Some Popsicle-Melting Temperatures

Jim Newberry’s goose is cooked. A special LFUCG investigative committee wants its fraud documents by tomorrow. There’s not a snowball’s chance in hell this ends well.  Can’t wait until Crit Luallen’s staff releases the results of their (separate) investigation. [H-L]

Oh, wait. Newberry & crew are lashing out at the guy who did the right thing. It’s always a cover-up with these guys and the Kentucky League of Cities. [More H-L]

Why won’t Jack Conway file his Personal Financial Disclosure? Why wait until August? The Conway Campaign has yet to respond to questions. [Page One]

Those damn librul bloggers (*cough* JOE *cough*) are ruining everything for Rand Paul! Maybe he shouldn’t break campaign pledges. [Bluegrass Politics]

After months of threats, Todd Hollenbach and Mo McDaniels fired Mary John Celletti yesterday. I have a feeling Todd and Mo are going to regret it. MJ will chap their asses. I know she knows all the dirt and won’t be afraid to sink the both of them as Todd tries to win another four years as State Treasurer. [Just Saying]

Why would Rand Paul release his Medicare billing when Jack Conway won’t release his Personal Financial Disclosure until AUGUST? You’ve got to be kidding, Jack. [John Cheves]

Jack thinks he can lay low until Fancy Farm when Lt. Dan tacitly endorses him. As he’s finding out today, that’s just not going to cut it in a U.S. Senate race. Mark Riddle is wrong. [Marion County Line]

Mitch McConnell says he won’t campaign against Harry Reid. Dear Republicans: We told you in 2008 that Mitch was deceiving you. Hahaha. You get what you pay for. [Roll Call]

David Williams is one of the most hated men in Kentucky. More hated than me. There’s no way he can run for governor. [Ryan Alessi]

PEE ALERT! Andy Teabagger Barr says he’s seven points behind Ben Chandler. How many bricks is Ben you-know-whatting? How many times a day is he wetting on himself? [CQ Politics]

Maybe Celletti could help Kentuckians realize how little work our Constitutional Office holders really do. Try finding Richie in his office…talk about Where’s Waldo.

    She needs to start talking.

    Now.

I know she has a map of all the buried skeletons.

It’s funny how slow things can move in various government agencies. To wit, as of this writing, Mary John Celletti is STILL listed on the official Treasurer’s website as “Assistant State Treasurer”.

I think it’s high time that such office holders as Hollenbach and Richie “I played for U of K” Farmer be required to electronically “timestamp” their workday, and have their actual working hours posted for all to see.

But, I’ll pardon State Auditor Crit Luallen from such nonsense…she’s the only one that truly gives the taxpayers what they pay for when it comes to her salary and work week.

Keep up the great work Jake !
