Some Questions For War Expert Rand Paul

June 9th, 2010 · 12 Comments

Earlier today I railed on Roger Alford for pushing his latest stenography piece on the U.S. Senate race as new and fresh. Reality has it that the story isn’t new. Rand Paul’s been saying what he’s saying for months.

No one seems to be willing to ask Rand Paul follow-up questions. So. Let’s do it.

Would he have voted to authorize President Bush to send troops into Afghanistan or Iraq? That’s how the U.S. Senate votes, rather than declaring war.

I’m betting he won’t answer, because that’s how Libertarians try to sound Republican without actually being Republican when it comes to national security.

He wouldn’t vote to give the President authority because he views what the U.S. is doing in Afghanistan and Iraq as unconstitutional. At least according to the Paul worldview.

If Jack Conway’s campaign weren’t so frustratingly… quiet/invisible?… it would be an opening to force Rand to tell the voters in the Commonwealth whether or not he would have voted no on Afghanistan. Jack could say he would have voted yes, since the foreigns attacked us. And he could harp to all the veterans living here in the state. While Rand further confuses meemaw and poppop.

Jack would have voted to authorize President Bush to send troops into Iraq? I didn’t know that!

this is exactly true of what he’ s doing and what they’ve learned to do so they don’t sound like isolationist appeasers.

they confuse the “Declaration of War” and no one ever challenges them, and it would be so easy to do so. Ron Paul voted for the 2001 AUMF(which is very broad in language, technically under it the president could go to war with any country he deems has connections to the terrorist network).

however, shortly after that Ron Paul made idiotic claims about Afghanistan being about building Oil Pipelines.

Um…AttentionWhore, the last time I checked Iraq and Afghanistan were different places.

Maybe read that last paragraph again, hmm?

Dear Paultards who got here from the Paultard Jerkoff Emporium Website where everyone pleasures everyone else while thinking about me: Chill the fuck out.

If you’re an out-of-stater, you automatically will be ignored because you don’t matter when it comes to Kentucky.

And if you’re foaming at the mouth, as you do on each and every site that has ever mentioned one of the Pauls, chill out. You’re less likely to be ignored.

I suggest you don’t make assumptions about people you don’t know.

    And buy a map.

    “Paultard Jerkoff Emporium Website”

Oh, that’s classic. I wonder if that URL is available…

Jake, it is interesting to note that War was a song by Edwin Starr covered by Bruce Springsteen who sang that he was Born In The USA, unlike our current president. It’s interesting that you’ve tried to lump me in with what current senators are tasked with doing when I’ve stated all along I am not a career politician and have no interest in being like them. To call me isolationist is simply false. I believe that the United States should protect it’s interests both here and abroad as long as we don’t leave our borders, which is my favorite bookstore. Money bomb. Taxes. Obamaca……. Bzzzt. Zap. Danger Will Robinson.

Paul has said that he would have voted against Iraq and for Afghanistan. This whole declare or authorize stuff is kind of silly. I keep picturing Aunt Maude standing in front of a Joint Session of Congress saying…Lawdy, Lawdy I declare. Actually, if you want to see what an illegal war looks like, see President Clinton and the bombing of Serbia before he said dick to anybody.

I have a question for Rand Paul that you alluded to but didn’t list. Does he realize he’s running for the Senate and not the House? That’s my question.

Also, better check to see if he thinks he’s actually now the President since he doesn’t like revealing his positions regarding a nuclear Iran for national security reasons.

    That one makes me lol.

Lisa, when you interview Jack Conway for the Wackadoo Times make sure you ask him about Iran having a nuke. The world is standing around with fingers up each others butts while North Korea sinks a S Korean naval ship, and as for Iran…U.S. at least 10,000 nukes. Israel (un-officially) a couple hundred. Iran would really want to meet those virgins to get too froggy. Actually, India has a bunch and those mofos believe in reincarnation..now that’s SCARY..I’m glad they are our friends, for now.
