Hahaha. You folks were foaming at the mouth when I poked fun of Rand Paul’s love of the gold amero. And whattya know? There’s video. [Joe Arnold]
Today the Transportation Cabinet put out a big press release (with attached, wasteful Word document of the same thing available in the release) about the “2010 Kentucky Official Highway Map.” The release included links to four radio actualities but no links, images or specifics about the actual map. And that, folks, is part of the reason our Commonwealth’s transportation system is stuck in the dark ages. [Press Release]

Some nutbag who wrote an all-caps email to Jim Bunning is facing criminal charges. It’d be a cooler story if the message was conveyed via paper, written in Sharpie pressed down so hard the marker burst. [Linda Blackford]
What? Marcus Carey still isn’t telling you that he’s probably just bitter because his son was on the payroll of Jim Bunning and lost his job? Surely not! Marcus the teabagger. Whodathunkit. [Marcus Still Foaming]

Rand Paul sure has a problem with the 14th Amendment. Those pesky Reconstruction Amendments seem to always be in his way. You’d think that the designated leader of a mob that’s always preaching about adhering to the Constitution would maybe think about getting familiar with the document and the amendments to it.

Jim. We do make amendments. It’s actually constitutional to ask for an amendment instead of passing crap that’s to subvert the power ala W. with the Patriot Act and going to war.

BG, did he ask for an amendment? I didn’t hear him ask for that. But that’s really beside the point, isn’t it? This is just the latest in a serious of positions that have him showing animosity and/or confusion on the Fourteenth Amendment. It’s why he had such a unique position on Gitmo, most likely, and why he has trouble with the Civil Rights Act and the ADA. Watch and see. Anything that is related to the Fourteenth Amendment, Rand Paul is going to have trouble with because it flies in the face of his agenda for a Rand Paul America.
