Rand Paul Supporter Confronts Protestors On Race

May 24th, 2010 · 14 Comments

At Saturday’s Republican Party of Kentucky/Rand Paul Unity Rally, our fancy videographer caught an exchange between protestors and a Rand Paul supporter (staffer?) on the Civil Rights Act, racial discrimination and other matters.

Are those t-shirts and stickers – vended by out-of-staters, no less – really what Rand Paul should have allowed on-site at a time like this? Most likely not. His flap on Rachel Maddow just continues to spread.

I especially enjoy when the guy exposes a cheeky grin while insinuating the guy doesn’t know the history of Emmett Till.

UPDATE: Click here for an in-depth look at Rand Paul’s supporters and the myriad times he’s failed to distance himself.

Daily Kos linked me. Bittersweet. Mostly sweet.

That’s right, Mommy Lisa, Kos is starting a Catholic convert, Alan Fuckin Keyes supporter, anti-abortion activist chapter. It will be as popular as the armless boy at the trapeze artist try-outs . Hey, Jack Conway is Catholic, maybe you’ll settle for that.

I’ll admit, I have gotten a kick out of Mommy Lady over the past several months.

But I think she writes a lot of what she writes for shock value – just like me.

Well, she did come “this” close to putting Bill Johnson over the top.

This weekend I learned that you can piss off a Rand Paul supporter REALLY quickly by calling him the male version of Sarah Palin. The level of invective hurled at Palin by said individual was impressive. I think we’ve found a wedge.

Nah, I just write what I think………and I am often shocked. I’m the kind of person who is dumbfounded that ABC Family is so named. I mean……that is just who I am.

BTW, I knew an armless boy once at a seminar for National Right to Life. He was there to learn to be an activists……..at a media seminar. Lay off the armless boys, k?

I meant to say I “met” him. I’m sure the jokes are going to come over the typo. These comment threads can be so ‘high school’.

Incidentally, I had to change it from ‘Mommy’ when it became clear to me that there are things on my blog that I won’t let my kids read. It’s not ‘Mommy’ anymore for that reason.

I’m thinking that the Urban Dictionary’s definition of Ayn Qaeda is becoming more fitting all the time.

ooooh, Steve, that’s a bit too far for me. I used to be afraid of them until I found out they’re far more bark than bite……but I totally get why the left would be disturbed by the militias…… and I am all for law enforcement keeping a close eye on them.

This reminds me of the guy who wanted to share his views with me at a tea bagged rally. Rand has lots of angry twenty something boys who are smug and confident, but don’t know shit. This guy reminds me of Kirk Cameron stumping for Jeebus..

how did he get nominated again?

Lisa, is that the same armless boy Rick Santorum carried all over Pennslyvania campaigning for partial birth abortion supporter Arlen Specter?
