Check out the latest from Rand Paul’s campaign manager on Lunch Counter Gate:

Yes, he seriously relegated Paul’s defense of segregated lunch counters to “fodder for left-wing blogs.”
Apparently he hasn’t turned on a television today to see every conservative in the country foaming at the mouth.
P.S. Some Kentucky Farm Bureau guy is “sick” of The ‘Ville Voice.

oh David Adams, I saw Rand on Morning Joe yesterday and heard what he had to say about the “Federal Debt.”
Rand told Nora O’Donnell that the way to find a bipartisan bill on Federal Debt is … are you ready … Rand said the way you get bipartisan support to reduce the Debt is “Term Limits.” Yup … that was his solution to reduce the Debt.
From Morning Joe:
NORA: “How will you reach compromise to bring down the size of the debt and reduce spending? Would you be for raising taxes to raise revenues in order to do that?”
PAUL: “No, but I think there are things we can have bi-partisan support for. I consider the Tea Party Platform to include calls for things like term limits. If you poll term limits with Democrats & Independents you’ll find 70% – 80% are in favor of term limits.”
NORA: On the Debt & Deficit how will you find compromise?
PAUL: “I think you find compromise by finding issues that …”
JOE (Noticing that Paul is NOT answering the question & Nora will keep pressing)”guys, guys, we have a delay here.”
NORA: How will he find compromise on bringing down the size of the debt.”
PAUL: “I think you find compromise by looking for rules. I don’t think they’ll ever balance the budget unless they are forced to by law.”
Ok Rand … so what you’re saying is YOU HAVE NO SOLUTIONS

Jake,
Update the screen shot … make sure you show the comment from: Jeri Stevens – whose comment is nauseating.

Did anyone notice how difficult it was to discern what victory Dr. Paul was celebrating in his post-election speech? Kentucky got only a passing mention when he said “people in Kentucky” rallied to his campaign when he supported Bunning’s vote against extending unemployement benefits.
A single mention of the state he hopes to represent. Telling?

I predict Paul’s Goldwater positions and Goldwater campaign will earn him a Goldwater result on election night.

Fishy: you put your finger on the Rand Paul run: he’s using Kentucky as a steppingstone, has little history here.
Jack will miss the boat if he does not capitalize upon this thin connection of Rand’s, which will be especially helpful out in the state.

If Jack’s campaign doesn’t jump on this by noon – publicly – he’s done.

Jake
Conway brought this very issue up on Hardball last night with Chris Matthews – before the Maddow interview.
Conway let the horse out of the barn on National tv – he might be sitting back & watching Rand get this deserved negative national coverage – why shouldn’t he?

didn’t the voters just glom to the
two issue candidates in the race?
didn’t the tew also-rans look tooo

12:15 has gone by… did conway
make the move or didn’t he? or if
the other polls have similar numbers
and people realize rand is more fair as
a person than rumors say he is, the
fall race is now solidifying as we
speak? the lead holds until fall?

I agree that allowing Rand enough rope to do the job himself could be an okay strategy.
But a lack of response for sixteen hours – aside from the empty one I published earlier – isn’t going to cut it. Not when there’s $$$$ to be raised and the entire national press is obsessed with the issue.
Joe Sonka is on Ed Schultz radio at 12:30 to discuss it all.

If Jack wants to be Senator, this is his chance to be a huge national figure–all the stars are lined up.
If events are about timing, let’s go!– now–while Rand has fallen into that big hole he’s digging himself.
