I know, total shocker. A politician fudging the facts and revising history.
Earlier today Rand Paul released a new television spot featuring Trey Grayson:

But, uh, I think Liberty Christ is a bit intellectually dishonest?
Cause looky here:

This is hypocrisy of Greg Fischer proportions. What was that again, Rand, about not going around saying Trey is against the balanced budget?

He said he hadn’t done that. He hadn’t. Trey did say in that debate that if someone said they would balance the budget in 10 years he would vote for an unbalanced budget for 9 years, hoping for a balanced one in the 10th. That is a big point to Republican voters who feel we don’t have 10 years to spend getting to a balanced budget.
That is accurate, not dishonest.

Readers can watch the clips for themselves.
Rand said he doesn’t go around saying Trey is against a balanced budget. And bam, what’s he do? Releases an ad doing just that.

Jake, one thing you might not want to take note of but is this clip before or after Trey criticized Rand for not supporting a budget plan that would be balanced one out of ten years.
I doubt Paul was expected to be attacked by Trey for wanting to balance the budget.
I’m not really sure if he said this before or after Grayson said that.
Paul would be stupid not to attack Grayson on this! Grayson is after all attacking him on the issue!

I just think it’s damn odd how someone who is supposed to be up an easy 15 points is still running attack ads. In fact did he ever stop running attack ads? Goes against all political lojic…

Intellectual honesty is not a trademark of Rand Paul. We will see if the voters see through hypocrisy or reward on the 18th.

dudes… rand paul is usually rather consistant.
trey grayson has moved to the right in a manner
akin to mitt romney. budget balancing has been
an issue, often. seriously… in 1964 we see LBJ
boasting about his balanced budget BEFORE
he escallates in viet-nam. the race has been fast
and furious. the attack ads have been a slugfest.
imagewise trey grayson has this randy quaid
and fess parker quaint charm when he has not
been eric cartment or bluto or flounder from
ANIMAL HOUSE. rand paul is running like
as if he’s a real life version of jimmy stewart’s
lovable character from MISTER SMITH GOES TO WASHINTON with a 21st century update…

oops eric cartman = eric cartment
me bad… with my freudian…
also Rand’s ads have been a mix given
that we have the affirmative endorsements
as well as the reply ads that are sometimes
triggered by a trey grayson ad. the wildcat
ad is now receding into the distant past… as
two DUKE U. dudes MAY be the victors on
the 18th!!! rand paul has not always been negative…
