Haha, so, funny story… that guy Jim Newberry, the failed mayor of Lexington? He is suddenly the mayor of puppies and rainbows!

Interesting that he neglects to mention the zillions of failures and disasters for which he is directly responsible. And all that alleged progress, it’s interesting that he hasn’t mentioned the empty field that was once a downtown block.

that’s Kathy Stein’s husband Alan who’s one of the first people talking…guess he’s for Newberry…surprised.

Don’t get me wrong; I know that Newberry hasn’t been the greatest mayor ever, but it’s hardly fair to tar him for the CentrePointe fiasco; lots of other people share the blame for that little escapade.

Newberry has done a shuck decent job and gotten a lot done in his time. To claim that he is directly responsible for “zillions of failures and disasters” is flat out a lie. Local govt was a mess when Newberry took office; they literally could not generate a financial statement to see what was coming and going out. I know a lot of people hate the Webbs and are pissed their CentrePointe financing fell through, but that’s not going to get Gray elected. Gray has no platform other being critical of CentrePointe.
