I wonder whether Jesus would hate women or hate babies…

Anyway, He certainly wouldn’t be a fan of govt’s monopoly provision of elementary/secondary education over the lower and lower-middle classes. And I doubt He’d be a fan of the federal payroll tax that takes 15.3% of every dollar earned by the working poor and middle class. I wonder if Eklof discusses these travesties of economic justice?

Three thoughts:

It’s interesting that Eklof’s list of policies mostly stays away from economics. That’s a wise choice and allows him to stay on more solid ground.

Those interested in Eklof’s broad topic would also enjoy my book on Christianity and public policy, Turn Neither to the Right nor to the Left.

And one for April 1st: Only political speech should be regulated through campaign finance restrictions…

I thought this was America. This country seems to take a step backward everyday. Does our constitution mean nothing anymore? Goodbye Amazon – you’ve lost me as a customer.
