TGIF! Denise Will Steal Your Thunder & Take Credit

March 26th, 2010 · 6 Comments

Why would a “journalist” living in a rent-free apartment owned by a candidate – in exchange for favors – be calling political campaigns in an attempt to get them to trash talk me? Is it because they want me to not only reveal that they are unethical but that they’re violating several laws regulated by a few major government entities? Cause I’m puzzled by it. [Just Wondering]

Just in case you needed more information about king coal just cold screwing Eastern Kentucky, read this. The state doesn’t want to do anything to enforce the law. So just go ahead and bend over. [C-J]

Denise Harper Angel is a WATB and is apparently trying to steal Jody Richards’ thunder? That’s how it seems. Also, the budget conference is going to ruin us all with the poverty. [Ronnie Ellis]

Fill in the blank time! Budget negotiators juggle governor’s _________. [Bluegrass Politics]

What’s that? That Bill Johnson crazy mommy lady is promoting a sickeningly racist story about Barack Obama? Yup. [Twitter]

She is also a fancy crime fighter. Just cold fighting crimes from her keyboard. [Barefoot & Progressive]

Why is it, exactly, our U.S. Senate candidates haven’t issued press releases indicating that they did not apply to Cornell? Since they did not, we must assume that Jack Conway, Trey Grayson, Daniel Mongiardo and Ayn Saint Dr. Rand Paul all applied to Cornell and love that school Goodness. [More Deep Thoughts]

The teabaggers who are constantly complaining about scary socialism want a gubmint job! Imagine that. Yet another thing teabaggers don’t comprehend. [Bloomberg]

If Jim Bunning could remember what a wet dream is, he’d be having one right now. Republicans in the U.S. Senate are playing a game of chicken with unemployment benefits. [HuffPo]

You know you like hairy menz. Fairdale Bigfoot is no longer a mayoral candidate but he’s back with his weekly advice column. [Consuming Louisville]

Just wondering…would it be SO terrible if the dems were to abide by ‘pay-go’ and bolster the unemployment benefit out of the stimulus?

Poor Jody Richards. First, Stumbo stabbed him in the back and twisted the knife, and now he is being stole from.

There is a big difference between “fostering jobs” and creating government jobs. The problem is that this administration only seems to understand the latter.

The reality is that Obama, or any president for that matter, can do very little to directly create jobs that actually create revenue.

Unfortunately, is his desire to push policies that value his idea of equity over growth, he has created a climate of regulatory and higher tax and cost uncertainty. To the small business owner currently with 45 employees, what incentive would he or she have to expand their business over the 50 employee mark and trigger the huge cost of mandatory health care requirements or pay an immediate $100K fine ($2K/employee). He has a minimum of a $100K motive to keep his business below that 50 employee level.

Now we can argue that that owner has some obligation to provide health coverage, but many times the business profit structure (for example restaurants, retail, some service) doesn’t allow for it. This is why the House needed to focus on lowering costs instead of providing a more equitable access.

Market forces don’t seem to carry a vary high priority in this administration. For example, it is far more important to increase taxes on investment, dividends, and personal incomes above $250K (most of which are small business owners), because they have “unfairly benefited from the Bush years,” than it is to consider what impact those changes will have on business growth and job creation.

Maybe its the high concentration of academics and the dirth of private sector members in this administration, but they seem to feel these changes somehow occur in a vacuum and then wonder why the unemployment rate hasn’t drastically improved.

“What’s that? That Bill Johnson crazy mommy lady is promoting a sickeningly racist story about Barack Obama? ”

What exactly is racist in this story?

You make yourself look like an idiot when you cry racism when anyone is critical of the President.
“Don’t be critical of the black guy, that’s racist.”

Yeah, I’m an idiot for calling a spade a spade.

Each and every time the woman who screams about the Nazis taking over refers to Obama as a “thug” or “Muslim” or “articulate” or whatever… that to me screams racism.

But carry on in your ridiculously ignorant ways, teabaggers. It suits you well.
