Profiles In Losing Hard: U.S. Senate Edition

March 10th, 2010 · 14 Comments

When will Jack Conway’s U.S. Senate campaign ditch the atrocious website?

Speaking of the web, when will he start utilizing it?

His race has the potential to grab national attention – he could go moneybombing – and there’s been absolutely nothing online.

And what the heck is with being so disconnected that you allow a comment like the one below to stay up on your public Facebook account for hours and hours?

He’s got a bazillion dollars and Lt. Dan is still beating him on the internets.

Oh, the deep thoughts.

Lt. Dan wants this a lot more than Conway. Jack should drop out and concentrate on getting a job he will be able to pull off. If the most passion you can muster during the primary is when you half-heartedly call yourself a son-of-a-bitch then you don’t have the fire to win the general.

I’m pretty sure he’s got the fire.

But his brain trust, up until recently, has been the kind of disappointing mess that only Jim Newberry would employ.

Jack is a nice guy but got into the wrong race. He needs to save his money and wait until 2014 or 2015. Mongiardo has the primary won.

Jack will not be able to buy this one. For the best of the party he should drop out.

Uh, I’m pretty sure no one’s won the race? We’re 70 days out and Jack has millions more – not including his own cash.

That doesn’t mean Jack will win, but it’s silly to tell the voters of the Commonwealth who they should and shouldn’t get to vote for.

I think the fact that none of his supporters have spoken up to defend him speaks volumes as well.

Seventy days out – VERY few are focused on this or any race until after the Derby – Jack can still pull this off !

Well, at least Conway’s Facespace page doesn’t have the image of a lynching on it. That wouldn’t be racist at all!

Meanwhile, he’s hosting a press conference tomorrow at the Urban League to discuss reform of “controversial banking practices”…

    Martha Coakley in 3, 2…

“VERY few are focused on this or any race until after the Derby”

That is such a Kentucky thing to say! What excuse does the also-ran give in other states?

“Nobody is payin’ any attention to my moribund campaign heah in New Awlins! They is still hung-over from the Mardis Gras!”

How did this turn around? I thought all the polls prior to this — except Mongiardo internals or push-polls — had Conway ahead.

Jake, weren’t you the first one to point out that Steve Henry tidbit?

How appropriate that Conway’s logo on the website features a falling star.
