As Joe said, Survey USA/WHAS11 polled the U.S. Senate election in November as a generic party question, so there’s no sense looking at that result.
But take a look at the rest of the results:
Republicans
- Grayson 27
- Paul 42
- Johnson 5
- Martin 3
- Scribner 1
- Stephenson 2
- Undecided 19
The margin of error is about 4.7%, which seems about a point too high for me. But let’s factor a couple points back in and let’s say they all go to Trey Grayson. He’s still a – ready for it? – loser. Because he’s sitting on his hands.
Rand Paul’s support comes from overly religious, abortion-fearing, gun-owning, lower middle class folks. And he cleans up in Trey Grayson’s back yard of Northern Kentucky. Meaning Trey should just drop out of the race right now if he’s not going to take this seriously.
And what was that about Bill Johnson taking the lead, birthers/truthers?
Democrats
- Conway 27
- Mongiardo 45
- Buckmaster 3
- Price 4
- Sweeney 2
- Undecided 19
MOE is at 4.1% for the Democrats, which isn’t far off. But Jack Conway, who played pat-a-cake while his former campaign manager ran his campaign into the ground, sat on his hands refusing to hire anyone for months and who occasionally makes about 20% of the appearances Daniel Mongiardo makes, is losing hard. Jack is losing faster than a prominent Republican state senator and an LRC official can cover up a sex scandal or two.
Mongiardo’s base also comes from overly religious, abortion-fearing, gun-owning, lower middle class Kentuckians. But Conway bests him in Louisville by 8 points.
Just in case you need an illustration to show you how badly you’re losing, Jack:

So, message to Jack: You need to campaign more than four hours a day, you need to start spending like crazy, and you need to quit pretending to be some coal-loving redneck. You’re more citified than me. So act like it and people will take you more seriously.
16% of Democrats say they’ll vote Republican if the race were held today. But only 8% of Republicans say they’d vote Democratic. Looks like Louisville is just about the only region Democrats can win (45-40). Western Kentucky is close, but let’s get real (43-41 Democratic edge).
On a related note: This race is hilarious! I can’t wait for the blood letting on television. Lt. Dan versus Ayn Rand is going to be one nightmare of a general election. And Lt. Dan will lose to him.
Sure, 19% undecided on both sides means both Conway and Grayson can win. But that would require both of them to try.

I can’t believe Jack is this far behind!
On the GOP side:
Yes, so much for the surging Bill Johnson.
Rand Paul is running away with the primary. If Grayson is worried about his political future, it might be time to drop out!

Like I said yesterday, Grayson might as well drop. He’s run a rediculous campaign to this point. The only thing he can do now is go negative even more in which case the Paul camp has already shown they are more than ready for that. All he will do is hurt his own party at this point. He should drop out and transfer his federal funds to the RPK.

Like you said yesterday Rodney? When you said Osama will be working at a rib shack? What the fuck are you liberty-tards smoking? The fact that Ron Paul’s son’s campaign staff doesn’t troll the internets disavowing you racist assholes shows where their sympathies lie.

Should Jack Conway drop out since he is down by 19%?

I am personally disappointed by the results on both sides but am more disturbed by who seems to be leading the Republican primary. By the very fact that he has at least twice appeared on the Alex Jones Show indicates that Rand Paul has coddled and reached out to truthers. For folks that want to learn more about Alex Jones you can visit his web site and learn more about his conspiracy theories and view on how the U.S. is responsible for 9/11. If you are truther and believe that, go ahead and voter for Rand Paul. If you believe that the 9/11 was a terrorist act and you support Paul you should think twice. I am very concerned that a viable U.S. Senate candidate would appear on the Alex Jones Show not only once but multiple times.

So Rand Paul likes to talk to the media, and thinks that he can win votes by going on Rachel Maddow and Glenn Beck? Ok, I don’t agree with them, but does that mean Rand Paul agrees with Glenn AND Rachel? Wow, impressive logic!!!!

Dear Anonymous, don’t get your point and you (obviously) didn’t get the joke. BTW, my wife is a dark skinned Brazillian. So are my children. Real racist *hole you idiot.

I don’t have a problem with Rand Paul going on Glenn Beck or Rachel Maddow. I have a huge problem with him going on Alex Jones. He goes on Alex Jones to reach a significant part of his national base that helped to jump start his campaign.

Would you people (cough, Rod, cough) please learn to spell? It might be nice if you learned how to structure a decent sentence, too.
