Come on, Eastern Kentucky! Could you stop embarrassing us? This Big Sandy jail scandal is taking the coconut cake. [H-L]

Really? This is news in the U.S. Senate race? [WHAS11]

State House leaders blurring lines and facts on merit and non-merit government employees? Imagine that. Maybe we can start talking about how David Williams’ staff has ballooned since he took over as Senate President. [Larry Dale Keeling]

Rand Paul and David Williams are going to fight like little girls. [Joe Arnold]

Oh, wait. Rand Paul is so disconnected and ignorant that his campaign is planning a rally to support Jim Bunning’s unemployment blockade. Welcome to the Bluegrass, where kooky Republicans screw their voter base. [Bluegrass Politics]

Never mind that food stamp usage in Kentucky is on the rise. 770,753 people who receive them in the Commonwealth. And now the unemployment mess. [Page One]

Here’s a list of U.S. transportation projects that Jim Bunning has shut down. [DOT]

Greg Stumbo was for higher education budget cuts before he was against them, or something? The amount of flip-flopping and all-around mess this legislative session is tough to keep track of. [H-L]

Louisville is in the midst of Greg Fischer Amateur Hour. Just like 2008. [The 'Ville Voice]

Lame. Picking on Lisa Tanner for doing something of her own accord. Didn’t see any finance violation though…

    Clarification?

Unfortunately, Lisa can’t claim that she’s doing this on her own accord. Did you bother to read anything in the linked article? As a formerly paid employee of the Mongiardo campaign and currently paid employee of the Fischer campaign, there’s not a clear separation. And her ties to the campaign – as exhibited to me – are quite strong.

It’s not legal to use state funds for a federal race.
