Country Mouse Came to Visit City Mouse

February 16th, 2010 · No Comments

WHAS11′s Joe Arnold sat down with Steve Beshear for an interview.

You need to watch this entire interview and, yes, Joe goes on and on and on about the “tea party” but whatever:

Steve Beshear says he presented a budget that was “valid” – despite the fact that it wasn’t? And didn’t even include an actual plan for gambling? He accuses the legislature of choosing against kids/families/firefighters when they ignore his faux gambling plan? And later in the interview tries to scare people into supporting gambling by dangling K-12 cuts over peoples’ heads? Nice.

Says he was “blindsided” by Six Flags’ decision to close Kentucky Kingdom. Despite his own staff telling myself and others that they knew days before the announcement that the park was closing.

He says no one is more fiscally conservative than him. Meanwhile, his “personal advisers” raking in $70K-$80K a year to talk to the governor on the phone a few times year totals something like 70 people.

Oh, and Louisvillians? You need to take note. The governor gives you lip service but he continues to take more from you than you receive.
