Last week Vote Vets hit Mitch McConnell with a television spot featuring Iraq & Afghanistan veteran George Zubaty.
This week Andrew Horne is keeping it up:
“Senator McConnell knows this is the wrong approach — particularly at a time when we are trying to grow good jobs here at home,” Steurer said.
But Andrew Horne, a member of the veterans’ group, said in a call with reporters Thursday that McConnell has a choice.
“Is he going to be on the side of Big Oil or on the side of troops and veterans?” asked Horne, a Louisville Marine Corps colonel who is a veteran of Afghanistan and a former Democratic candidate for Congress.
What was that again, warmongers, about Horne disappearing? He’s still standing up for these issues.

Hey, maybe Mitch will change his mind when he finds out good old GE is building all those wind turbines and curly que light bulbs in China. What’s Horne’s position on off shore drilling and American oil production? How about nuclear? Is BIG OIL in his 401-K?

Uh, Andrew drives a Ford and his wife drives a Saturn. They’re hardly people of wealth. So the 401 + big oil bit doesn’t really fly.

Too bad Andrew counldn’t stand up to Beashear when they ran that three trme loser Bruce Lundsford for Senate instead of Horne.
I think Horne would have knocked Mitch right off his perch; Lundsford was just a pale version of Mitch.

Tell you what, libs. If you’ll support domestic exploration and production, we’ll quit spending money for oil in countries that hate us.

wondering !
why don’t the OIL co. drill on the leases they have now?
Maybe because the price of OIL. the only time they want to drill is when gas is at $4.00 a gallon.

Speaking of warmongers: why is there so little asked of McConnell about BAE, one of his major contributors, and its recent fine after investigations of corruption?
That should be a very big deal, considering that BAE is the second largest defense contractor in the world and the charges against them were many and very serious, including an accusation of having an arms for oil deal with the Saudis.
One would think McConnell would have at least a comment?

“Oil Slick Mitch”
When it comes to patriotism and war, oil versus vets, we can bet on Mitch being on the dark, slick side (even while he prattles on–sickeningly so–about his fake “love” for Amurkin troops). Show us your old draft card, Mitch, and how you got out of serving in Vietnam. You are among the dastardly long line of GOPers who yell for war, but would never fight in it.

#1 Bruce Lunsford wasn’t a 3 time loser; the people of Ky actually lost 3 times.
#2 I spoke in the same line-up with Andrew’s wife primary win night in Louisville, and know for a fact they were behind Bruce all the way.
#3 Horne or Lunsford would have been great senators, but Bruce was in no way anything like McConnell.
