Did you go? Was it awesome? I must hear your fancy stories about the event of the year.
Haha, so, funny story… there was a rather interesting rally that took place in the Capital on Monday that, you know, made it clear there’s no room for Jews, gays, or anyone else who doesn’t subscribe to this rather, ahem, outdated model of Christianity.
Check out the letter sent to legislators:

Pretty fancy, eh?
My favorite part is in the first paragraph where they have added the requirement of conjugating each other to the dignity of marriage, or, uh, the “union” of husband and wife.
According to everybody who was at the event, Sen. Katie Stine (I am beginning to love her crazy antics) spoke to the crowd apparently not “for the purpose of shouting slogans or hearing political speeches,” as stated in the letter. The funny part of her appearance? She spelled her name S-T-I-N-E so as not to be confused with that Mean Heathen Jewish Lady Sen. Kathy S-T-E-I-N. The entire crowd reportedly laughed.
The letter included the language, “[w]hile we know that not everyone in the legislature is a Christian,” and the last time I checked… there were no Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist or Pagan members of the legislature. S-T-E-I-N is the only heathen in Frankfort. Guess they were trying to call Senator Stein out for being non-Christian? Nice.

Annunciates. Why, bless my Funk and Wagnalls , I haven’t heard that word since I stood guard while Martin Luther nailed his gripe list to the doors of that outpost of papacy. Too bad Katie queered the crowd’s mood when she flew off on her broom.

I love this letter, it says just exactly what I need it to say and nothing more and nothing less and if it was presented to the legislators of Kentucky I win! Yes! I am glad I came here today, I got two copies of this. Thank You!

“Christ Doesn’t Need that Kind of Rally”
The “call of Christian conscience” group surely knows how to make a mockery of Christ. Hope their Lord gives them the conscience of compassion for all God’s children. I would hold up my stein of wine for that one.

Can someone explain to me… “they are coming to publicly [sic] declare … and pledge to uphold … the rights of conscience and religious freedom.”
Can some explain to me what they mean by religious freedom? Surely they mean even non-Christians, right? Even as they proclaim they “as Christians will serve the Lord” they also meant non-Christians will serve the non-Lord, religious freedom and all that. Right?

This goes right along with the prayer before the Governor’s State of the State Address; Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and other non Christians are not welcome here.

I’m guessing their religious freedom really means they allow Southern Baptists and Pentecostals.
