You ready for this?
Governor Steve Beshear and Mary Lassiter - cabinet secretary and state budget director - will hold a 2:00 P.M. press conference at the state capitol to make budget reduction and education announcements.
Let me be the millionth person to say this: using education cuts as a pawn to scare people into supporting gambling is a mistake. Hell, using education as a pawn for anything proves what a worthless person you are. Kentuckians don’t need to be frightened into supporting something that could benefit the Commonwealth.
This all makes sense, though. The governor would rather ruin the bright future of our youngsters so he can waste the money elsewhere/try to scare Kentucky into something it won’t fall for.
Get that enema ready, folks.

Education who needs that?
Hell, if our state becomes educated, we’ll understand things like the odds of winning when gambling…and we might actually decide to not gamble…the horror!

You mean that thingy Beshear’s office is working against?

It’s a sad day when David Williams’ assessment of the budget is rational in comparison to the Governor’s.
Steve Beshear really is hell-bent on turning the state Democratic Party into a political one-trick pony, while practically doing nothing for the state as Governor, except to ram more gambling down our throats.

Steve, I think you’re wrong or mistaken.
The governor isn’t doing anything with the Kentucky Democratic Party. Literally nothing. That’s how inept this governor has become.
His administration is the one-trick pony you’re talking about, though. Which is waaaaaaay worse in my opinion.

Well, the truth is probably the gray area between our takes.
After all, Beshear is the titular head of the state Democratic Party. And I’m mainly talking about perception.
