That whole bit about me trying not to do work today? Haha, right. Fat chance. People were calling before six a.m. Who knew so many folks would be pretending to do work today? Goodness.
So let’s look at some stuff…
The 2009 Rooties are here from Joe! I won a fancy award but was a mere runner-up on the ego front because apparently my ego isn’t big enough or rich enough. It is unfair that a goat-you-know-whatter beat me in that category. Go read the entire thing because I know you have nothing else to do today. [Barefoot & Progressive]
I hear the Kentucky Democratic Party’s executive director may have resigned to take a similar job outside the Commonwealth. Possibly because he sucked, hard, just like I said a year ago or whatever? Unfortunately, KDP is in the dark ages with a current spokescritter who shuns technology. Meaning we won’t have an actual answer to my questions for about a million more days. [Rumor]
Kevin Skinner is the Herald-Leader’s most intriguing person of the year, according to the internet, which means this is accurate. At least we can all agree that he deserved to win that fancy teevee prize. [H-L]
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Turncoat. [Hilarity]
Greg Stumbo has a website, on the internets, for reals. You should look at it. My favorite part is his biography that reads, “From eastern Kentucky, Stumbo has the determination and steel inherited from that land. toidus dksjdf skdkfjs dkdjfis dkfjsl” No, I’m not making it up. Yes, I realize the website isn’t live just yet. [Click the Clicky]
Fairdale Bigfoot has returned from his holiday break. He’s back with his advice column and it is good. [Consuming Louisville]
How to tell if you have religious food. [Consumerist]
Rand Paul is officially lying about his flip-flopping on Gitmo. [Ronnie Ellis]
Here’s video proof of his stance on Guantanamo Bay. [YouTube]
Oh, and here’s video of Randy Rand Paul’s daddy talking about how terrorists are terrorists because we’re occupiers. Ben Stein calling Ron Anti-Semitic was interesting. Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the treet. [Larry King Live]

Rand’s position has always been consistent. He wants the prisoners tried and sentenced – and if we don’t convict them or won’t have a trial, he certainly doesn’t want them brought here. In that clip, he is specifically answering whether they should be brought here.
Rand’s ideas of quick, decisive action against terrorists will strengthen our national defense.
Grayson and Bryant are getting desperate because a lot of people are seeing through the mischaracterizations and realizing what an amazing senator Rand will be, so they’re lying about his positions. It’s just politics as usual… haven’t we had enough of that?
It’s funny though, PageOneKentucky is looking like the propaganda arm of the Breathitt Co. GOP lately. I realize dragging people through the mud is what you enjoy, but it’s sheer deception to claim Rand is lying. The hypocrisy tag is appropriate. Next time, before you post Establishment Chairman Mike Bryant’s hysterical stories because his site can’t get enough traffic – check them for accuracy.

I love it when people mindlessly lump me into one camp or another. Especially when they forget that I’m the person who outed Mike Bryant and got negative press for him.
And if Rand is such a genius – why has his second spokesperson in as many weeks resigned for unbelievable public behavior?

Yes, Jake, the propaganda arm of the GOP.
I’ll tell you, though, I’m really curious whether Taika is a resident of Kentucky. If so, she(?) might be the third Rand Paul supporter I’ve heard from who actually lives in Kentucky.

Yes, you did cover the Bryant story, which had conclusive evidence. Thank you.
However, a much longer list of dubious stories and smear campaigns against good people have gotten their legs here, and the truth be darned.
I guess this is just the kind of red meat website that jumps on every story, embellishes it, and tries to get ratings. To do that, immediately the worst is assumed about people (take your latest story) and by the time the stories blow up, the truth is lost and no one really cares anymore, because the media got their story. It’s a little disappointing to see people treated like that.

Yeah, I totally start smear campaigns and spread dubious stories.
If nothing was accurate – why did Hightower resign? The shit existed – it wasn’t fabricated. Get over it.

Thanks for the link to the LIEberman pic. Hope it’s on posters at every one of his Party-of-One rallies. :-)
