From State Senator Joey Pendleton in the Bowling Green Daily News:
“I was a little skeptical of e-mail when it first came out,” Sen. Joey Pendleton, D-Hopkinsville, said recently. “But I guess it’s here to stay now.”
Cannot breathe.
Best. Quote. Ever.

Regarding this quote in the article “House Speaker Greg Stumbo, D-Prestonsburg, is urging the governor not to include furloughs for state employees. Stumbo said in a news release recently that House members aren’t amenable to such a move, which is unfair to state workers being asked to take on more tasks.
“The reduced services, and the predictable loss of morale, would far outpace any savings,” Stumbo said.”
Is this a first in trying to garner support from the state employee voter block for a run against Beshear for Governor.
The reason I say that is I don’t recall, in the last 10 years, of any politician giving a damn about state workers. We have taken the blunt of legislators balancing the budget on our backs.
I’m sure Stumbo is talking out of both sides of his mouth while trying to garner a few votes. But its better than nothing because we damn sure can’t count on State Rep Derrick Graham to say anything on our behalf.
The only time you hear from Rep Graham is when teachers pay (of which he is one) is mentioned in the legislature.

TS: I think you’re right about Greg.
And I think he should run, despite what he’s saying about not running publicly.

This is what I am talking about people. How in the world are we to expect to have meaningful tax reform to lead us into this global economy when MANY of our elected officials view Kentucky from an archaic paradigm?

I guess streaming video is out the question, then?

I can understand the reluctance to use e-mail. You can’t get rid of it as easily as you can plain paper copies. LOL
