Mongiardo Takes Credit For What He Didn’t Do

December 17th, 2009 · 4 Comments

I hear through the gayvine (and have confirmed with the Governor’s staff) that Lt. Dan begged Papaw Steve to participate in a groundbreaking ceremony for Waste Not Technologies.

Even though Lt. Dan had nothing to do with the groundbreaking or getting the business to Manchester. The new plant – to be celebrated Monday with Bob Stivers and Tim Couch – will create roughly 1,400 jobs.

Why would Lt. Dan want to take credit for something he he’s not responsible for? And why would Papaw let him?

I have no idea. And I checked the Lexis-Nexis machine to find out if Mongiardo had ever been tied to the project. Nope, nothing to do with it. And a story from by Bill Estep in the October 24, 2009 issue of the Herald-Leader doesn’t so much as mention Lt. Dan’s name.

I am not saying Lt. Dan had anything to do with this “Waste Not Technologies.” I have never even heard of them, but given the number of times you have complained about the Guv’s office lying to you why would you believe them if they said the earth was round?

If they told you Lt. Dan begged, I would think it would be a good bet that they begged him, because they are too snooty to want to be seen in Clay County. But that’s just me.

Like I said, I didn’t originally get this from the governor’s office.

I got it from a mortal enemy of Steve Beshear.

You Kentucky folks are some of the most gullible people on earth. Has one reporter or economic development official done one ounce of due diligence on Waste Not Technology.
Riddle Me This: How can a company with no financial backing or investors, no experience in the bioenergy industry, and a long list of economic development several states build a $150 million plant out of thin air?
Such ignorance and ineptness in local and state government makes me want to vomit. And now we have people boasting about others begging to want to appear at the groundbreaking of an economic development Ponzi Scheme.

Gullible? What part of “takes credit for what he didn’t do” don’t you get?

And take some time to read around on this site. NOTHING this Governor or Lt. Gov. have brought to Kentucky has ever materialized. Ever. Most of the time the companies end up being corrupt shams.
