Just in case you’d forgotten: Proof from November 17 that Steve Beshear was, in fact, involved in the firing of Ron Mills:
Mills said he was later told by Campbell that “Rusty Ashcraft of Alliance was trying to get me fired” by officials in the governor’s office.
On Friday morning he said he was given a letter by Holly McCoy Johnson, top personnel official for the cabinet, informing him his services were no longer required.
“I specifically asked her if the governor was aware of the action. And she said, ‘Yes, he was involved,’ ” Mills said.
His own staff say he was involved. And you wouldn’t believe the number of current staffers who tell me (they’re afraid to do so on-the-record) that the Governor was directly involved.
When will Steve Beshear come clean?

I don’t know Mills, but I believe him.
I also think this whole mess is PFS (pretty frickin’ scandalous).
Wouldn’t it be lovely to obtain some smokin’ evidence linking the governor to this ill-advised execution?
It appears that state government has become a hostile place for those who resist ridiculous and untenable interpretations of crystal-clear environmental law.
May this outrage resonate far into the future and be amplified in the hallowed halls of justice.
