What’s that sound?
Why, none other than Steve Beshear lying through his teeth:
“Because of the successful conclusion of their recent union negotiations, Harley-Davidson has made the decision to keep its operation in York, Pa. This was not unexpected. While we are disappointed by their decision, we are proud of the efforts of our economic development officials, as well our local partners in Shelby County. The fact that Kentucky was Harley-Davidson’s number one choice if the company had decided to move bodes well for our future success.”
Cute that the governor & crew lie through their teeth about Harley-Davidson using Kentucky (and other states – google it) in an attempt to get a better union deal. H-D was never coming to Kentucky and Beshear knew it.
When is Governor Beshear ever going to be honest?
Another example: he says his position on a constitutional amendment for gambling has been consistent. Despite the fact that, you know, his position has been inconsistent.

I’m agree Beshear and his cracker jack economic team don’t know how to do simple internet searches.
It was easily seen, via Google, the ZAP car company and its leaders were running a scam on states.
Its was easily seen, via Google, that Michigan was going to land the advanced battery factories, not Kentucky. But Beshear kept saying it was sure thing until he said it wasn’t. Remember 20 states landed huge amounts of green dollars but not Kentucky despite its cracker jack economic guys.
Now Harley Davidson.
If Beshear says Kentucky is going to land a company relocation, bet it won’t happen.
He should quit focusing on hitting the grand slam and start hitting singles and opening the door for small companies to relocate or start in Kentucky. Then help them grow into big companies.
The first thing he could do is have his cracker jack Finance Cabinet change the rules on how RFP’s are bid. Give Kentucky companies advantages in landing state government contracts. It silly to have contracts awarded to companies in other states or countries and Kentucky taxpayer dollars go with them.
Its plain stupid to pay an out of state web company to develop the WEG website.
Its plain stupid that an Indiana company is awaded the “Unbridled Spirit” campaign.
Its plain stupid state government is buying its Ford vehicles from a dealer in Cincinnati.
Its plain stupid State government awarded the GPS contract to a company in Canada.
Its plain stupid to pay Leroy Neiman over $200,000 to paint a couple of pictures
Its just plain stupid!
