Huckabee is done. His Willie Horton has come home to roost.

On the Owensboro story "State says it tried to save local jobs" After doing a vaunted nationwide search, Larry Hayes is the best man for the job. He has done a great job bringing in jobs and factories into Kentucky. Our economy is booming....

No, I must have been dreaming while eating a piece of the pie in the sky.

Beshear is batting .000 in job and factory announcements but hitting 1.000 in announcing factories are leaving Kentucky.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

One would think the Felner episode (and UofL's refusing to deal with him until the FBI showed up) would have been example enough of hiding whatever is going on in education!

Pretending that all is A-ok does not make it so. Fawning over each other does not make a board a good one, nor does avoiding the tough, obvious issues. Administrative "mistakes", conflicts of interest or whatever, are not to be hidden when public monies are endangered or abused, or when positions are misused.

When public people become secretive all kinds of red flags are running up the flag pole. Better to wade in and tell it like it is, before a real scandal occurs.

"The State, C'est Moi"

I agree with Attorney General Conway that Berman's evaluation should be made public. Two simple questions: Why should Shellie be the lone exception among all state employees? What does the JCPS Board of Education have to hide?
